Personal Care Products - M2.4 video comments

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-kc3AIM_LU I was so shocked by how many toxic chemicals (287) that were found in each of those 10 babies using the umbilical cord blood.  It is so sad to that we are affected even before we take our first breaths.  Babies and children are such a vulnerable population and I am not a parent, but I am sure that it can make someone feel so helpless that they can't keep their babies safe from these toxic chemicals.  Like he said, we need to do all we can to minimize those exposures, and that although it may not mean everyone exposed results in a health condition, it is still concerning.  The statistics were also shocking.  The increased rates in children developing diseases and chronic conditions and adults who are developing diseases and having trouble conceiving were pretty eye opening to me.  I sometimes can't imagine this would happen to me but it is so possible.  The health of the public needs to be prioritized and th...

Environmental health in the news

Here is an article I found this week: https://abcnews.go.com/Health/rising-c02-levels-nutritional-deficiencies-globe-study/story?id=57424688 I thought it was interesting that they noted the people who already suffer from nutritional deficiencies may be the ones who will suffer the most.  This accumulation of disadvantage can really impact the health of many people all over the world.  The locations anticipated to get hit the hardest are India and other Southeast Asian countries, all countries that use a lot of wheat and rice in their diets, yet these foods are going to contain less nutrients.
